Chicago History Project

   For my Chicago History Project I’m going to research about the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. Even though I already know somethings because I play in their academy but I’m still going to know more about the club and their history. For this project we’re research by The Who, What, Where, When, and Why. The Who is who owns the team which is Andrew Hauptman and their manger in charge right now is Veljko Paunović. The What is what it is and the Chicago Fire is a professional soccer club that plays in the MLS (Major League Soccer). When they were first created they were a part of the western conference until more teams were created and in 2002 the Chicago Fire became a member of the eastern conference. The where is when the club plays and the Chicago Fire plays on a Chicago suburb called Bridgeview,IL. In Bridgeview,IL is where their stadium is located called the Toyota Park. The number of people the stadium holds is about 20,000+. When was the club made or founded? They were founded by the MLS saying that Chicago will have a professional soccer club called the Chicago Fire as an honor of the Great Chicago Fire. Their first stadium where they played was Soldier Field but then they got built a stadium in Bridgeview,IL called Toyota Park. Toyota park costed about 100 million dollars and opened on June 11, 2006. They were founded by the MLS saying that Chicago will have a professional soccer club called the Chicago Fire as an honor of the Great Chicago Fire. Their first stadium where they played was Soldier Field but then they got built a stadium in Bridgeview,IL called Toyota Park. Toyota park costed about 100 million dollars and opened on June 11, 2006. The Chicago Fire was created by the MLS (Major League Soccer) in honor of the Great Chicago Fire on the 126th anniversary. Which is how the got created.
